milhouse gave everyone a full refund for the match.
visited evitas grave yesterday, investigated the brazilian visa application process and booked a bus for iguazu falls. shopped in pallermo. ate at casa blanca, a restaurant beside a popular and famous steak restaurant that we would´ve had to queue at for over an hour.. not even the champagne they serve to people unfortunate enough to stand in line was enough to make us wait. casa blanca was quite nice though, cute waitresses who say ´bueno´ in the most hypnotic tone imaginable and look like triplets. tasty steak and a delicious apple crumple con helado, all very reasonably priced for a fancier restaurant. lots of cats in the cemetary. flies too. sad to be leaving buenos aires today because i haven´t had a chance to do everything i wanted; however i find comfort in knowing that i´ll be back someday. buenos aires to iguazu falls to rio de janeiro.

paid 90 pesos to watch the match, booked through milhouse, and in short im a bit pissed off. it only cost 12 for the actual tickets that we were given, and transport isnt very expensive, so we were paying the extra bit for security. we were not secure. richs camera was stolen, three guys attacked my pockets but i held on tight, then caddy swooped in and pulled me away from them. amongst the group that went with the hostel, id estimate 10 or 15 cameras were stolen, probably the same amount of wallets, knives were held to people who physically resisted or to speed up the process of thievery..
before trying to rob me i guess they thought theyd have a laugh and hit me from behind, so i was punched in the side once and slapped on the back of the neck. i figured id have to put up with that sort of thing in the mosh-pit-like atmosphere so i shrugged it off. one pikey reached into cams back pocket and ripped out an advert he was carrying, then he paused and stared at it in confusion. he seemed too stubborn to accept that it he hadnt earned any money, but id say it was legitimate currency as it bought cam time to scuttle off. needless to say we left as soon as possible (half time). it was so crowded with people and banners so i could only even see, at best, half of the pitch.
it was an interesting experience that i wont forget, and im glad i got out of it unharmed and with all of my belongings. definitely going to seek a refund or compensation of some sort, poor effort milhouse.
none of us got hurt, but unfortunately richs camera is gone.

22 pesos all you can eat at grants in recoleta, shockingly good buffet!
