the pampas tour, wow! i´ll go into it in another entry but at the moment i´d like to report that i´ve officially been a victim of pickpocketing. there´s a massive fiesta in la paz today, however i saw only a bit though before i realized my wallet had been sniped. jamie and i were walking along trying to find a good vantage point, but overcome with thirst we stopped for a pacena (es cerveza!). i took out 10 bolivianos and paid the man, then slipped my wallet back into my right front pocket, behind a bottle of deet. we continued walking (i was filming the entire thing but handed the camera to jamie when we bought beer) until we reached what looked like an entrance. thinking back to the saying ´nothing in the world is free´i reached into my pocket to pay some kind of entrance fee, tax, or tarrif.....
